Introduction - As a school MIS are committed to providing a high quality education. We strive to create good learning partnerships, offer a variety of opportunities and try give students the best education for their intermediate years as possible. Our school motto is Kia U Ki Te Pai which means whatever you do let it be your best, and it is a very strong sentiment throughout our school. Morrinsville Intermediates main goal in students two years here is to prepare them for college, and to also make sure you or your child have strong relationships between friends, teachers, and of course parents to create a learning partnership.
Learning-Focused Partnership At MIS we value a learning focused partnership between, parents, teachers and students. We aim for you child to get the most of the school curriculum by using this partnership so students can learn and enjoy it at the same time. In our school we celebrate success in assembly with merits, excellences and honors as well 100% attendance and a good behaviour draw so success is widely celebrated throughout our school. Our curriculum is up to date with many other intermediate schools in new zealand and we use ipads, chromebooks, and B.Y.O.D so we can use things like google and it features to help us learn.
Opportunities Morrinsville Intermediate has a range of opportunities for opportunities for everyone to enjoy, they range from flag monitors to student executives and all play a very important part in our school. In order to get or earn these roles students need to apply and librarians, canteen monitors, etc are chosen from there. Other opportunities in our school are merits, excellences and honors. These are achieved by obtaining points in the merit system which are: Cultural, Civics, Sports and Academic. To get points in these areas for Civics you need to take on roles within our school, for Cultural you need to be involved in our school music and kapa haka activities, for Sport you need to be involved in II sports and for Academic you need to do well in school testing and numerous other events. Summary - Motto / History Finally Morrinsville Intermediate will endeavor to do the absolute best for their students to ensure they develop skills to be lifelong learners . We stand by our values Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga, Whakawhanaungatanga and Rangatiratanga our motto Kia U Ki Te Pai and also aim to make you have the best experience at M.I.S and hope that while you are here you enjoy it.
